Bid Farewell to Certain Cars in 2024

Say farewell to cars like the Audi R8, Dodge Challenger, Mazda CX-9, and Nissan Maxima. These beloved machines won’t be in production anymore.

Yep, the Dodge Charger and Challenger, along with their fancy cousin, the Chrysler 300, are saying goodbye this year. There are other cool cars leaving too, like the Audi R8 and Kia Stinger. These are just a few of the cars discontinuing production after the 2023 model year.

Dodge Charger

The four-door Dodge Charger sedan is also discontinued after the 2023 model year. Despite its age, the Charger kept things interesting with various V-8 variants, including the supercharged Charger SRT Hellcat. Fortunately, enthusiasts can still discover these classic yet powerful Dodges for sale in used car lots.

Audi TT and TTS Coupe and Convertible

Audi’s TT and TTS are taking a bow. These cars were named after a challenging race, the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy, and they’ve been a fun and stylish ride. The fourth and final generation TT has been a sporty coupe or convertible that’s been a joy to drive, even if it wasn’t quite a Porsche 718 Boxster rival.

Audi R8 Coupe and Convertible

Audi is also saying farewell to the R8. This mid-engine coupe and convertible entered the scene in 2008 and got a redesign in 2017. Now, the R8’s story comes to an end. We’ll miss this stylish Audi.

Chevrolet Bolt EV

The most budget-friendly electric vehicle of 2023 will no longer be in production.Chevy plans to launch a new Bolt, but it won’t be a 2024 model. The Bolt EUV is also hitting the road with the end of the 2023 model year. We might not miss its driving dynamics, but we’ll miss having an affordable long-range electric option.

Kia Stinger

After a six-year run, the Kia Stinger bids farewell. While its rear-drive four-door hatchback design earned praise for impressive driving dynamics, it appears U.S. buyers did not share the same enthusiasm. Although hatchbacks may not be as popular in the USA, there are some models that have truly resonated with people and are poised to endure. Explore these cars here: best hatchbacks for sale.

Chrysler 300

Chrysler’s lineup for 2024 is down to just one – the Pacifica. The 300, the big rear-drive sedan, is discontinued. It had its run, and to commemorate it, Chrysler released a limited-edition 300C with a powerful V-8. The next 300 might embrace electrification when it arrives in the middle of the decade

Dodge Challenger

The Dodge Challenger has been around since 2008, with a few updates, but it’s time to say goodbye to this two-door muscle car. There’s no immediate replacement for 2024, but Dodge has a battery-electric Charger Daytona SRT concept in the works.

Ferrari F8 Tributo

The Ferrari F8 Tributo’s coupe body style is no more. Ferrari made just one 2023 F8 Tributo before ending production. But don’t worry, the drop-top Spider version lives on.

Fiat 500X

Fiat’s 500X won’t see the 2024 model year. Instead, the 2024 lineup welcomes the 500e, an electric successor to the Fiat 500 that left our shores at the end of the previous decade.

Ford Transit Connect

The compact van market will not be produced anymore. The Ford Transit Connect joins others like the Chevrolet City Express, Nissan NV200, and Ram ProMaster City in leaving us with the close of the 2023 model year. Transit Connect fans will have to go for the full-size Transit or maybe consider a compact pickup like the Maverick.

Jeep Cherokee

Jeep stops production of the Cherokee once again. After reviving it in 2014, it’s time to pull the plug. We might see the nameplate return on a battery-electric SUV in the future.

Jeep Renegade

Jeep is also cutting its littlest SUV from the lineup after the 2023 model year. The Renegade had a scaled-down Wrangler look and some off-road capability but faced tough competition.

Kia Rio

Kia’s subcompact sedan and hatchback, the Rio, won’t be around for the 2024 model year. Despite its entry-level position, the Rio offered more than expected from the driver’s seat.

Mazda CX-9

The Mazda CX-9 is making way for the rear-drive-based 2024 CX-90. Despite its dynamic competence, the CX-9 faced challenges with its cramped third row and small cargo area.

Mazda MX-30

Limited to California, the Mazda MX-30 is making a small exit. Despite its attractive design, the MX-30’s short driving range and higher price made it less appealing.

McLaren 720S Coupe and Convertible

The McLaren 720S Coupe and Convertible are not exactly dead. They’re reborn as the 750S, with around 30 more horses than before. It’s a worked-over version of the 720S.

Mercedes C-Class Coupe and Convertible

The outgoing C-Class in coupe and convertible styles won’t continue for 2024. In its place comes the CLE-class, serving as the successor to the two-door C-Class.

Mercedes CLS-Class

Mercedes is letting go of the CLS-Class, the first car to try the “four-door sedan is a coupe” marketing trick. Mercedes is streamlining its models, and the CLS had to step aside.

Mercedes E-Class Coupe and Convertible

With the new Mercedes E-Class sedan arriving, it’s goodbye to the E-Class coupe and convertible. The new CLE-class will take their place as the two-door E-Class successor.

Nissan Maxima

Nissan is leaving the full-size sedan segment, stopping its production of the Maxima. While the Maxima might be gone, Nissan isn’t giving up on sedans entirely, with the Versa, Sentra, and Altima still in the lineup.

Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo

The Porsche Panamera gets an update for 2024, but it’s the end of the road for the Sport Turismo wagon. Few people bought it, considering the standard Panamera has a versatile hatchback.

As we conclude this article, it’s a mix of nostalgia and anticipation for what’s next in the automotive world. Let’s remember the joy and memories these cars brought and look forward to the exciting rides that lie ahead.
